AOP Côte-Rôtie

This Côte-Rôtie brings together parcels from the north and south of the appellation, on schist, mica-schist, granite and iron-oxide soils. Domaine Bonnefond lists it as 100% Syrah, vinified in stainless steel and aged for 15 to 18 months in 400-litre barrels. The nose suggests spice and dark fruit; the palate is powerful with rounded tannins.
